Re: Anyone with Experience of Disputing Major Works Invoice from Lewisham Homes?
Matter has been resolved. The legal advice given is it costly and difficult to fight Lewisham Council in the courts. The best course of action is their formal complaint process, followed by the Property Ombudsman. Then tribunal as a last resort.

Re: Anyone with Experience of Disputing Major Works Invoice from Lewisham Homes?
Perhaps my local MP is the next step. I don't think the news agencies would be interested in me and my woes. At the moment I need someone who can coach me through this. I'm fighting this on my own and, due to health reasons, I don't have the energy to go it entirely alone. I've tried to engage the ...

Anyone with Experience of Disputing Major Works Invoice from Lewisham Homes?
Hi I'm looking for someone that has had experience with Lewisham Homes/Lewisham Council with regards to disputing major works costs, and is willing to share their experience with me. We had major works carried out in 2014. Were sent a Summary of Costs in May 2018 (which I now see has the word ...

Re: Lewisham Homes - Major Works
Hi Kiwijess I don't live in Ashleigh Point but I do live nearby in a Lewisham Homes managed estate as a leaseholder. My advice is to ask for an itemised bill. We had similar issues during our last major works, charged a lot of money for what appeared to be nothing. They took their time getting this ...

Re: Sydenham DO strike breaking
We've not had any post for a long time. The last time we did receive post, if was after another long period of not receiving post and we got a bundle. Our postman is great and use to deliver regularly up to about August/September so I don't blame him. And it is the same chap who is doing our ...

Re: Paxton Court Problems
Good luck Smudge We have a similar problem on our estate, also managed by Lewisham Homes. Been going on for years, can't think of a time when we didn't have that problem. The police used to deal with our problem but I haven't seen an officer anywhere near the offending property for years. Our ...

Re: Flu-Jabs @ Sydenham Green now Covid test compatible
I phoned Sydenham Green this morning for an appointment, about 8:05. I started off at 17th in the queue but after 10-15 minutes I was through to reception. Within 5 minutes I had an appointment for this morning. In my opinion, this is a better service than it was before when I would spend long time ...

Re: The Censor in RTW Speaks Again
Thank you for taking my message the right way. I do understand your concerns regarding Chris, I simply think that this is fuelling his behaviour. Which is why I kept quiet for so long about my feelings regarding him. What pushed me to comment was hearing business owners' opinion on the matter plus ...

Re: The Censor in RTW Speaks Again
Hi JGB There have been worse comments made on SE23.life than this by others rather than Chris. It's simply a misinformed comment, there is a drive (pun not intended) to move to have all licensed black cabs to zero emission. It's time to give this a break especially now that it's coming across as you ...

Re: The Censor in RTW Speaks Again
I'm not scared of him but I am worried that he has access to people's contact details. I always tried to avoid a direct conversation with him on the other forum but I once made the mistake of posting an opposing opinion to his. He replied with information about me that no normal poster would have ...

Re: The Censor in RTW Speaks Again
This week I spoke to a Forest Hill business owner about the lockdown easing. They wondered how they would spread the word that they were reopening and their new opening hours, etc. I mentioned the community forum. Their response? They would rather not post to that particular forum because of a ...
