I REALLY HOPE THINGS GO AHEAD WITH THE PARK...I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE PLANS.... THE EXTENT OF HOUSING IS GETTING COMPLETELY BLOWN OUT OFF PROPORTION. ENGLISH HERITAGE HAVE GIVEN THE PLANS GREAT REVIEWS AND THEY WERE THE ONES WHO LISTED THE PARKLAND IN THE FIRST PLACE.

i think it would be very handy having a mini waitrose or m&s near sydenham station...the new retail space behind the greyhound would be a good suggestion if its going to be big enough.
I used to use the m&s at london bridge on the way home for food and bottle of vino but now that i use the east ...

i believe one options was the creation of Trust, separate from the LDA who would decide park policy and oversee a management team to run the park.
Some areas of the park are listed by english heritage like the terraces i am sure bromley is not allowed to let them ...

i went to the exhibition and found it very informative. also very good to see progress on the station approach.
As a suggestion can the exhibition advertise a link to the online petition. not sure how many people use the sydenham town forum...maybe a couple thousand leaflets in letterboxes will get ...

the mosaic is a crap dated idea. it wont help bring in the trendy shops, bars, restaurants and deli's that everyone on this forum keeps begging for because it makes us look like a bunch of backward idiots.

i havent seen the mosaic but i would prefer the £10000 be spent on freshening up the outside with new paint, signage and some coloured blinds or glazing as per leenewhams 'what if series'.

i live in crystal palace park road and i am very happy with the lda's plans.

i found this example of a raised planted plinth surrounded by tar that i feel could be adapted to our 6-8 m roundabout.

the plinth can be of the same paving planned for use on the pavements...i think it was a light coloured concrete paving ...
