Re: Crystal Palace Park introduces car park charges
They could hardly be worse than Bromley - the Trust seems a very much better way to manage and protect the park than leaving it to Bromley who have let it run down over so many years. Any particular reason why CPP should not charge for parking in the same way that other equivalent parks do? Eg ...

Earlier in the planning process, the proposed slogan ‘Perry Village- we’re taking the Rise’ was rejected after a knife edge vote at committee.

Re: New Bistro in Perry Village’s Foodie Quarter
Perry Village- our marketing team position it as ‘Perry Village, we’re partly on the Rise’. But it won’t look so funny when the fire station is a gym with exclusive roof top pool terrace and the William Hill a trendy wine and gin bar.

Re: London Airport Master Plan Expansions: Heathrow and London City
Everyone will have noticed quieter skies with London City Airport closed and Heathrow cut right back. There’s a new survey asking all London postcodes under Heathrow flight paths to pass on their experiences during lockdown. It will only take a few minutes to complete and make sure our area is p ...

It’s been mentioned that this could make a daytime TV soap or perhaps a book. I understand that the following working titles are already in development.
Duncombe Hill Street Blues
Names under the Hammer
Sunset Beach
(Bad) Neighbours
The Great Flava Bakeoff
Pointless
The Clangers

Went last night. A very good telling of the story of the Endurance. Will interest anyone with an interest in Shackleton, Endurance and Edwardian adventure exploration. In a comfortable small theatre very close to Southwark station. Only a few days left.

Re: Sydenham under a new flight path?
A few people have complained that Heathrow is not holding consultation events in SE London. I asked why and they said they were focused on areas where planes would be under 4000ft - which they say will not include us. Nevertheless, the area will see many more Heathrow planes on new flightpaths, as ...

Re: Sydenham under a new flight path?
it is fair to say that we should expect some aircraft noise living in London. However once you are here, it seems very unreasonable to find that, with next to no consultation, instead of a reasonable dispersal of flights over an area a very precise aircraft motorway has been installed just 2000 ft ...
