Heat Pump Noise on commercial property
I live above one commercial high street building and also next to a pub. Both of these businesses have obviously taken advantage of the govt scheme to install air flow heat pumps on their external walls (one of which is directly below my bedroom window, the other on top of the pub roof about 3 ...

Mentally unwell person on the streets
There is a very unwell woman who wanders Sydenham Road asking for help, change etc. she eventually ends up screaming at people, and randomly, into the street. She often crosses the road without paying attention to the traffic. We have seen her in Sydenham for some years and she often came into the ...

Noise disturbance Jews Walk
There have been a couple of instances recently were a house/flat on Jews Walk have held very very loud parties late into the night (12am onwards) on a Weds and a Sunday. I’m normally not that averse to sound, being a London resident, but both times have felt inordinately excessive, especially c ...
Re: Fox's pub
I live next door and have seen the plans. Fingers crossed it’s going to be a nice place to drink and get something to eat (they have changed the inside layout to fit a kitchen). Have repainted the front and are installing new, clear windows to make it more inviting. Let’s hope it works. Would be nic ...

Sainsbury’s Local safety screen removal
I have just been into the Sainsbury’s Local at Cobb’s Corner to find that they are currently removing all of the safety screens in place at the self service checkout. Why on Earth is this happening now - when Covid is still a significant problem with 100+ deaths a day? This is especially troublesome ...
Re: Masks
Unless you are wearing a special medical grade mask, then masks and face coverings do not offer any significant protection to the wearer. They DO significantly reduce the risk that you transmit the virus to others, and thus help break the chain of infection. Maybe, maybe not. But given that there ...

Re: Sunday - Finally a day of peace
I’m fairly certain that the alarm actually going off was above the ATM for Sainsbury’s. If you go in and tell them, they switch it off. It is obviously faulty but they will turn it off once made aware.

Re: Alarm - Cobb's Corner
The alarm is above the cashpoint for Sainsbury’s. You have to go in and tell them it is going off as they can’t or don’t seem to hear it in the shop.

Re: Payless, Sydenham
I walked by around midnight on the 23rd December, turning into the 24th. The shop was open, padlock gone and two of them where sat outside chatting and smoking. After a little Christmas drink I decided to confront them and ask why they’d allowed food to rot outside for weeks, much to the detriment o ...

Re: Been to The Greyhound yet?
Really good meal again last night. Very fresh and tasty. Service however was not so. Very friendly, but very unprofessional. There really is little point in trying to upsell wines if you cannot pronounce them, and don’t actually know what they are. Poor chap was obviously well meaning, but d ...
