Re: Sydenham DO strike breaking

Imagine being deeply embarrassed that an essential public service works for you.

A round of applause to the gentleman in the black van who delivered your parcel.

We haven't had any post whatsoever in...weeks?

Re: Sydenham Grand Prix

They were out last night around 11pm, doing doughnuts (presumably cars, not bikes) somewhere around the Trewsbury/Cator/Kent House Road area. Caused an utter racket and terrified our cat. How could anyone, in their right mind, think this is remotely socially acceptable? I appreciate the question is ...

As a Trewsbury Road resident, this is the first I've heard of this. Is this actually the case?

Re: Sydenham under a new flight path?

I shudder to say that if you live in one the world's largest cities, with a huge economy and several international airports, you should probably expect there to be some incidental noise from aircraft. It's like moving to a rural village and complaining about cows mooing. In terms of 'drivers' to ...

Re: zigghy coffea shop

I visited Zigghy's the day they opened. They served me a perfectly good cappuccino for £2.20 or similar. You'd pay £2.80+ for something of inferior quality in Costa/Nero. Also vastly better than the watery rubbish you get at the cafe on Cobbs Corner. Yes, the place had a few teething issues - basic A ...

Re: Loud motorbike revving can be heard from Westwood Hill

I live on Trewsbury Road where the top (northern) end is narrow and has parked cars on either side. There is a 20 limit at this end (LB Lewisham) - 20 is about as fast as you can proceed safely along this part, as there are so many pedestrians, cars emerging from driveways and due to the sheer ...

Re: Loud motorbike revving can be heard from Westwood Hill

Morons are out yet again this evening. Two motorcyclists doing loops down Trewsbury-Cator-Lennard-Kent House Roads - many multiples in excess of the 20mph limit. There are residents trying to sleep along these streets, pedestrians, people backing out of their driveways, cats, an infants' school. Why ...

Re: I’m being spied on

Here's how it works. There won't be any spying involved. At some point in the past someone from the Labour Party will have knocked on your door and asked you - or anyone answering - if they could count on your vote in an upcoming election. They will have had a list of registered voters and they'd ...
