Re: Poundstretcher in old co-op site
The lights remain on as a deterrent for anyone to break in / squatters. They would remain visible day and night. Additionally the cost to evict vs cost of energy is a factor. Its much cheaper to leave the lights on. Not sure wat people wouldn’t break into a shop that’s been empty since March 17 jus ...

Re: New St Christopher's Charity Shop
I think an Iceland would do good after a good refit and open up floor space back to original size, great frozen range and grocery range which is getting better.

Not sure Sydenham really needs more cheap stuff and there range of fresh foods is now we’re near good enough .they might have a good range of dry goods but without a fresh range or bws, cigs or even fresh bread it will be worse than bud ...

Re: Shall we all write to Co-Op and ask them to come back?
Hope your right as so many people didn’t like budgens and espically it’s crap it sold. And also Poundstretcher as far as I know don’t stock bws , cigs or have fresh bakery so would be a shame to use the old coop/budgens. Also heard coop are wanting to build new shop in forest hill (old portacabin sit ...

Re: Shall we all write to Co-Op and ask them to come back?
After working there for so many years I agree with you that coop should take it back on but there previous refit ruined the shop floor layout make a false wall resulting in silly size aisles and replacing fridges with smaller ones which resulted in less shelf space etc also kiosk/tills was wrong but ...

Re: Shall we all write to Co-Op and ask them to come back?
Was told many times Co-op don’t like the high rent and just didn’t make enough money. But I spent nearly 30 years in that shop and if they did a better refit and sorted out their range and delivery’s it could work but still think m/s food hall will win if Aldi not interested
