Re: CARNIVAL MARCH TO SAVE LEWISHAM'S LIBRARIES

I think "shout down" is the proper description. For ordinary non-political folk who had joined a non-political Carnival March, with some children dressed up as book characters, and who wanted to show solidarity with campaigners who have worked hard on their behalf to try to keep the threatened ...

Lewisham has a lot to answer for since they approved planning permission for a retail park as close to the town centre as Bell Green. Lewisham is also paying the ...

Sorry - has become more approprate to "Town Pub" now.

And, as every time someone responds to trivial topics it brings the topic back to the top I shall now refrain from further comment, especially with regard to this thread.

Is this really "Town Hall" stuff? Surely this should be relegated to "Town Cafe?"

It amazes me how many posters overload "Town Hall" with trivia thus downgrading matters of more importance to all local residents.

Good spoof and a great laugh last night - maybe slightly long, but what the heck! Food was plentiful and service was excellent. Whatever hiccups there were on the first night seem to have been well ironed out. If anyone was wavering after the first reviews there are tickets for next week's extra ...

I'd share a bottle of wine with you anytime, dear Stuart. However I noticed that you didn't bring one with you and so removed my gear from the chair next to you! Nothing personal in that, as I had already brought my own groundsheet and wasn't planning to commandeer a chair. Well done, you and Mrs ...

With no purpose-built cinema in Lewisham (what an utter disgrace!) I'll vote for mainstream at Beckenham and go to Greenwich for the avant garde!
