I use Perry Vale Dental Surgery and I can't speak highly enough of them... http://www.perryvaledental.co.uk/

Staff are very helpful and friendly and you don't have to wait forever to book in appointments like some surgeries.

I take offence to your view that maestro's post was 'only mildly sarky'.

It seems to me that far too often posts are being mocked by a core group of people on this forum.

It isn't everyone on here but I have had countless posts ridiculed by the same 5 or so frequent users.

Why are people on this forum always ready to reply for with a wise crack?

I am really fed up with the lack of community spirit on here. It is nothing but a platform for the weak to bully others. I think it gives the completely wrong impression of what Sydenham is all about!

Were you never taught ...

The smell of Gas

There was a particularly bad smell of gas in the high street this morning. It has been bad for sometime due to the roadwork’s but this morning was even worse than usual!

Does anyone know the proposed schedule of completion of the gas works as the smell is quite unbearable when walking along ...

I understand the need to support our boys in blue, but also find it particularly irritating when the police helicopter circles over my street at midnight for over an hour for no apparent reason as it did last night!

Sirens

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed a recent increase in siren noise on Sydenham Road overnight - Last night being particularly bad?

I am often woken in the early hours of the morning when there are no other vehicles on the road by screeching sirens. Is it really necessary to have the sirens ...

I have just driven past and still a large area taped off and 2 police officers blocking people from entering...
It must have been something fairly serious for them to have been there all day - very worrying.

Thank you for your 'helpful' comment bensonby

I was asking if anyone knew why they have started to restrict people (including people that live there) from parking.

Post in Sydenham

Hi All,

I am becoming increasingly frustrated by the length of time it takes to receive post. I'm not sure if this is just a Sydenham thing but currently it can take up to 2 weeks to receive something posted first class by family or friends in the UK.
I have also experienced cards / letters going ...

I don't live in a shared flat, but I do also have the problem of post being delivered to our address when it should have been delivered elsewhere! Sometimes it's as close as next door, but mostly its from all over sydenham with not the same house number or road!

Also on birthday's we usually have ...

I moved up from Devon (Exeter) almost 5 years ago - bit of a dart on the map effort and landed on Sydenham but now can't really see myself living elsewhere.
As with anywhere in London, it has it's good bits and bad bits but on the whole it's a nice place.
Good luck with your move.
