1960s comedy theatre show Halcyon Days at The Hob

Post by safdirector »

Spontaneous Productions (The Three Musketeers, The Wind in the Willows, The Importance of Being Earnest, Ocelot Gymkhana) present their latest show at The Hob, Forest Hill, from Tuesday 13 March.

HALCYON DAYS is a brand-new comedy-drama set in 1969, written & directed by Jonathan Kaufman and devised using Mike Leigh's improvised scripting method.

Featuring a fantastic sixties soundtrack, this is Jonathan's fourth devised play since 1998. His previous devised shows include GROOVY TIMES (Time Out Critics Choice) and SCHOOL TIES (co-devised with brother Julian, **** Three Weeks magazine, Edinburgh Festival Fringe).

Tickets are £12 (£10 concs) AND can be bought on the door or reserved in advance on 020 8855 0496.

Show dates: Tues 13, Weds 14, Thurs 15, Fri 16 March, 7.30pm plus matinee show on Sun 18 March, 4.30pm

Booking tickets through the Hob's box office has proved difficult for a few people.
Do leave a message on the box office number if you wish to reserve tickets. The Hob will keep a record of names and number of tickets and you can pay on the door (cash only as no credit card facilities unfortunately).

Sorry for any inconvenience!

Thanks to all those who attended our first night - we're really pleased with the show and just need an audience now!

The show runs at The Hob in Forest Hill every evening this week at 7.30pm (Weds, Thurs & Fri) except Sat 17th. And there's a special matinee show on Sunday at 4.30pm.

Here's an audience comment posted on facebook today:

Please go & see Halcyon Days at The Hob, Forest Hill (Opposite the station)-Jonathan Kaufman & cast have created a piece equal to anything Mike Leigh created. Great fun!

See you there!
