I thought jalapeños were merely pickled chillis? Are they a specific variation of chilli?

Chillis
At last
Something Bensonby has not got an expert opinion on.
He should wear a Scotch bonnet.

But he has found out that 'ñ' character - so his expertise is still appreciable. Last time I saw him, I gave him some surplus rhubarb, and he looked a bit surprised - but has not yet said 'thank you'. Next time he may be even more surprised by the results of my experiments to engineer jalapeno genes into other plants ...

Time to be serious. Bensonby is a great guy, and always has been - I have this from one of his school friends. He is also a big asset to this forum, not least because he's such a good person to have an argument with. He probably did thank me at the time for the rhubarb, but I guess I was expecting some feed back as to what he'd done with it - I am glad he enjoyed it. So I apologise. And if he wants some jalapenos, let me know - when they are dried, they will last us years.

Many thanks. For the record, the rhubarb went in a very tasty crumble.
