ants

Post by ALIB »

has anyone else noticed the plague of flying ants today in Sydenham?
I was treading on them as I walked up Kirkdale from Cobbs corner.
I had to close my car windows as i drove down sydenham road earlier today as they were flying everywhere.

Someone's got ants in their pants

We get them every year in my experience. I think they need ideal climatic conditions and they all come out at once. This year I have been seeing a few for the last few days but the weather has changed and they haven't been as prodigious as in previous years. They are also very localised; I remember a couple of years ago Kent House and Knighton Park Roads were swarming with them one evening but there were none in Sydenham or Trewsbury roads.

yeah, 'flying ant day' happens every year. Strange how it happens around the whole country on the same day
