Banned Words

Postby admin » 19 Mar 2010 14:55

As you may know STF is operated independently of our local authority. I believe this gives everyone a greater freedom to say what they want.

We do ban a few words, the obvious. However if we ever came under council control we may have to add a few more. I kid you not, here is a list of words the council should not use when dealing with Joe Public: http://www.idea.gov.uk/idk/core/page.do?pageId=17636724

Fortunately Lewisham can't read

But why are these words or phrases not to be used? I just cannot understand it. Give it a few years and the words which replace them will be banned. The only one who gains is the people who make money out of this nonsense. The English language, and common sense, misses out
