Speed Camera

Hi there, I live at the top of Westwood Hill, and buses and lorries thunder by several times a day, I find my floor noticibly shaking. It's enough to startle the dog and has to be bad for the buildings. So I find myself wondering how can I go about requesting a speed camera? (Can't believe I am sayi...

Re: Serious Incident? 19th July

Don't know exactly what happened but there was a bicycle lying in a heap at the side of the road and a man lying in the road being treated. He wasn't moving much but seemed to be alive. There was another big incident last night outide the church at the bottom of Westwood Hill, area was sealed off lo...

Re: Sushi of Sydenham

Personally I am glad you are trying to compete with the Catford sushi place, I've always found it rather disappointing all be it cheap. The fact that most of the staff are chinese rather than Japanese prolly explains a lot. To be honest I've actually been very disappointed by my last few trips to th...

Re: Best letting agent?

Honestly I would let it yourself through gumtree, costs nothing and is very effective. In my experience the agent is fine when the rent is coming in but if there is a problem then its doen to you to fix it which kinda makes the agent redundant in my view. I let my old flat through it and have never ...

Re: Badminton club in Sydenham

Hi there,

The club is still going but is now on its summer break.

I can't remember exactly when we go back, but if you contact Janet Morton (jfm27@hotmail.co.uk or tel: 020 8661 0743) she'll give you the details.

Re: Sydenham Farmer's Market...??

That area is really small?

Not sure you are going to have that much passing trade anyway (on a sunday morning?)

Surely its better to have a bigger market that will cater to more tastes?

Re: BT super-fast broadband, Sydenham gets a look in

That sounds pretty good, I have 11.49 line charge on top, but that includes free phone calls to 01,02,03 and 08 numbers evening and weekends. Price also inclues unlimited downloads (not standard either but got it as a long-standing and oft haggling Plusnet customer). So what is your all in price and...

Re: BT super-fast broadband, Sydenham gets a look in

Hey there,

Just wondered how much you guys are paying for your super-fast broadband?

Plusnet are offering it to me for £16.49 a month with no set up or connection fees (but it is subject to an 18 month contract).
