Fountain Drive Near this horse trough/fountain stood a house, but not sure if Steve would consider it foreign territory or not? It's more mysterious than Quantum Tunnelling. Sydenham Hill, Rock Hill, Low Cross Walk, Crescent Wood Road, Cox's Walk are all worthy. http://www.rarekungfumovies.com/syde...

Around Steve Grindlay's boundaries...
...in the parishes of Sydenham and Forest Hill! PART 1 of 2 - INSIDE THE BOUNDARIES Before 1855 when the parishes of St Barts and Chist Church were formed, the area of Sydenham or Forest Hill could not strictly be defined. Sydenham originally referred only to the area of Perry Hill (now SE6?) and th...

Considering at least 6 of you wanted me to come back, including Steve G, I have decided to return. What's more I am now a member of the Sydenham Society because Tim Lund was able to accept my membership fee without needing Royal Mail's services. I am still enthusiastic about history, and will see ho...

It depends on the content of the private messages and the purpose of making them public. Does there need to be a purpose? Does the content make any difference? What possible reason could justify posting somebody's private message in the forum!? This world is a lot more stranger than I thoug...

There are two very good books on atmospheric and pneumatic railways, by Charles Hadfield (1967) and Howard Clayton (1966). The most authoritative account of the Crystal Palace Pneumatic Railway was published in a 2-part article in 1993 by the London Railway Record (if I remember correctly); will tr...

So has this actually happened?* First: how serious do you think it is? How much respect would you have for somebody who blatantly posted somebody's private messages in the public forum?* Is this sort of thing acceptable in your opinion? Let's just say: what if you found out that Stuart was doing th...

personally think it is wrong to bring someone's private messages into the main forum and forum admins should take responsibilty and action to stop this. I'm glad we see eye-to-eye on this, Sean! So then, on a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate the seriousness of this atrocious act given the fact i...

Sean, thanks for your reply. However, I don't believe quoting private messages in public falls within copyright laws. Instead, what comes to mind is privacy and data protection act. Quoting a paragraph from a book is not the same as quoting part of somebody's private conversion; they are two separat...

Quoting private messages in the forum
On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate the seriousness of this act? I was wondering today if it might actually be possible to stoop any lower, and came to the conclusion that I would have more respect for a tramp excreeting in public and throwing his turd through somebody's window. In my opinion, ...

Hey Nicholas, I totally agree Alice. I'm 17 and have been unsuccessfully looking for a job for more then a year. I'll tell you the secret to getting a job: condense your CV down to just one page with bullet points then carry out some cold calling and specs letters. Remember: if you get employed thro...
