Could do with many more cameras , and also Police on the streets.
Appreciate it is matter of cost.
Perhaps need to reevaluate what is important

Re: E cigarettes in the Dolphin
i am amazed the Dolphin permit this.
I certainly will not be visiting . Disgrace.
As has been mentioned it is lovely walking into a Pub knowing the air will be OK.
To say OK as long as no one complains. Some people are reluctant to complain.

I know from friends re the same saga in Beckenham
The main PO closed a few months ago and business moved to W H Smith's in the High Street.
I have been told queues much less and service very good.
Only one example but not all negative.

The Clown
How had the beggar got past the entrance gates , or did he have a ticket
Surely not as annoying as the people who walk down each carriage putting a trash item next to each person , then collecting the items or money 5 mins later.

At least he spoke about something relevant to his constituents , full marks for that.
In the past he has raised some strange subjects.

I am surprised big enough for a Wetherspoon and they already have a Pub called Postalorder close by.
Have only been there about 6 times but always enjoyed it.

It would surely be a shame after all the fighting for a Pub a cheap chicken cafe appears.

I believe 20 mph will soon be de riguer in urban areas .
May annoy some motorists but surely safety and peace on urban streets is more important.

Re: Lewisham wide 20mph roads
A number of posts seem to be how comfortable it is to drive rather than saving lives. True enforcement is a joke , but that could be changed. Surely protection of pedestrians , cyclists and other road users should be paramount. Re not realising what the limit is that is up to the motorists to read a...

Good idea Mosy.
However USD 100.00 fine not enough. Should be treated the same as alcohol. A ban and night in police custody.

Anything to reduce speeds on our roads is very welcome.
I do accept not enough Police to enforce so perhaps many more cameras.
If one can get 20 miles in an hour across London , say Sydenham to Ruislip , you have done very well.
