I don't really drink beer or ale, but my partner does occasionally. If there was a small sub-section covering wines and spirits though I would definately shop here to support the a local sydenham business over sainsburies/ somerfield and the local off-licence on the corner of station approach. I usu...

Estate Agents on Silverdale..
What would everyone like the old estate agents on the highstreet (corner of silverdale) to be..? I think its a fab location and size. with big windows. I think it would make a great 'thai on the corner' or intimate little eatery in the evening. I'd love more restaurants to choose from in an evening...

I totally agree Lee. I went to the Pizza restaurant on friday night and the food was fantastic. The restaurant was quite though, and I hope this is just a lull after New years. It's a definate asset to the hight street. I agree adding specials and changing the menu would be nice as when we go we alm...

The Little Black Book
Just got my little black book of local businesses in the area through the door today. What a fab idea. I will definately be using it over the next year and trying to using local businesses wherever possible. In times like theses we need to be supporting over local community and businesses and it's g...

It's great to see some plans for the Greyhound and hopefully the extra shops will initiate some business and enterprise to the area. With Sugahill, BMC, if Jam Circus come too and Kirkdale bookshop, along with the Greyhounds re-generation, and Station Approach looking good, I think it could look rea...

I really hope the premises don't stay empty, it's a great location.. I think it would make an excellent shop/ restaurant or bar. I love having places with big windows where you can look in - they are much more inviting. So may places in sydenham use the shop windows to put up displays or posters and...

I went with my boyfriend last saturday and it was really good. The music was really nice and it was busy too - so had a nice atmosphere. We had a calzone pizza and pasta, starters and a shared dessert for just over £30. All the food was really tasty and really good prices. It is definately a great a...

Thought I'd add my small comment to the thread too - as a 20-something living in sydenham since the credit crunch I have definately been looking more locally for my evenings out rather than venuring into central london for a expensive night and having to pay for a cab home. Its a shame sydenham does...
