I would definately agree about having to be visable. If people can't see you, they don't know (or can forget) you are there. Just read in the evening standard, Sydenham library might be taken over by an not- for profit entrepreneur & he plans on keeping it open. Sounds fantastic if it happens..!

Does anyone know if the shop lettings in the Greyhound are being targetted in this way? I didn't realise the money shop was looking to move into the old curtain shop. I think that would be a huge step backwards for the high street and Sydenham in general. Is there a petition out there to sign to object?

I think that part of the high street will start to look lovely if fresh and fruity get a bit of a facelift too. If will also encourage people like me to pop into both there and billings for my weekly shop.

May be they should try some advertising, leafleting the area..? There only real competition I can think of is Moxons in ED.
