Lets keep this forum on a positive note, about the local community, not baby or pre school ,cats etc. but about sydenham in general and its local history or about the roads, shops not the afore mentioned. would like to welcome back Falkor and his history of the area and of course our local historian...

Slightly going off the subject, I noticed today that ther are drawings on the road in Taylors Lane,indicating " Humps". Does anybody know anything about this. Although I must say they are long overdue.

This forum just lately seems to be more about babies, nurseries, pre-school etc rather than whats going on in the high street

I agree with Lee it is a waste of an oppertunity It's in a prime position,will have the park next to it.Perfect for lots of different business's but a funeral parlour,for god's sake

I believe Raglan Street is now called Clyde Vale its in Se 23.Iused to live in the area in the early sixties and I'm sure it said after Clyde Vale {late Raglan Street]

The "drinking crew" seem to have the run of the high street.Yesterday, wason the 202 bus,the tall drinker with glasses got on with a bit of an iffy bus pass.whilst he flashed that at the bus driver,the one with the tatooed face and one of his comrades got on the back of the bus and proceed...

Why suggest block off w.pk.road area .Some of us live in that area and not in kirkdale village. It is very unfortunate that some of us live in the area where they are opening the new youth centre and have not had any say in the matter!!!!!!
