i'm on virgin medias XL package (20mbs), which is £29 for the first year. Contract is for one year. It wasn't too clever at first but now i regularly hit the full 20mps. However i know many people who are less that pleased with the service. Seems to be pot luck. You can cancel in the 1st 30 days tho...

popped in yesterday evening for the first time. Had a couple of pints of London Pride which tasted pretty good. Agree that the staff are a bit stand off ish - but probably need time to settle in and get used to the place and us lot. In terms of the general ambience of the place I quite liked it. Loa...

Then why has it proved a viable option down the road in Forest Hill? - i'm referring to the Dartmouth Arms.

Or do you think Forest Hill has a different socio-economic make up?

thanks for all your replies - very useful. I'm going to attend the survey with the surveyor - going for a normal home buyers survey at this point - unless it becomes clear I need a building survey when the chap or chapess arrives

thanks again

House surveyors - advice please

Hello, I'm looking to buy a property in sydenham - 3 bed split level flat - which occupies the 1st and 2nd floors of a victorian style town house - there is a one bedroom flat underneath on the ground floor. Couple of questions: 1) What type of survey should I go for - normal home buyers survey or a...

If i'm feeling really energetic i'll walk up to Crystal Palace and go to the White Hart. Restaurants - they only one I go to on the high s...

greyhound should be knocked down. One of the worst pubs in sydenham. What amazes me is that customers think i nice thing to do on a sunny weekend afternoon is to sit on the benches at the front of the pub right next to the main road and round about. You might aswell suck on a bus exhaust pipe.

i've never been in the pub you mention but it looks particularly uninviting from the outside. Doesn't surprise me that the inside isn't much better.
