I believe that its the sorting offices that have gone on strike, not the delivery 'postmen' It was always said that we would have post today, but not for the rest of the week.

I seen the notice at the start of the week, is the junction surrounding Kent House Road/Sydenham being closed off?

I dont think the Post Office are doing themselves any favour.

We at home are using email or fax to communicate.

We are also doing the same at work, so in the long run the posties are going to do themselves out of a job

We got rid of freeview to get Sky, can say we never had a problem with Freeview in the rain or a storm. Thats why I posted the question on here.

Hi, we have had a sky box for about 3 months now and every time we have heavy rain/stormy weather (like now) the box does not work.

Strange, my husband and I were talking about this at the weekend. We get no post for days (maybe four) and then a whole bundle on one day.

Are the post office short of posties that they only deliver to certain roads on certain days?

The removeable pannels sound a better bet, then at least it would cut the cost and should be easy to move from empty shop to empty shop. Of course if some of the shop owners took an interest in the state of the High Street they are trying to entice renters to, we could not have any empty shops. Why ...

Just been up the road, you are unable to cross from Berrymans Lane up to the Post Office as the crossing are all closed due to the roadworks in between. What concerns me more, is that outside Sommerfield area, two way traffic is running on just one side of the road, without any signs on the footpath...
