Re: The pub on the kirkdale roundabout

Money's the rub, obviously. Yes and No ( mainly , yes) The way I see it the remaining building is too small for any serious operator and probably needs a lot of cash spent on it to make it operational. The Sydenham Society were instrumental in saving the Pub and enlisitng the Mayors support to do s...

Re: Social Housing

Can you provide links to these Section 106 agreements? Stuart No. I also never said that Section 106's specifying those things existed. My point was that although these planning gain agreements specify " education places" " parks " etc etc; no one ever actually knows where that ...

They developers apparently make " contributions " which are meant to be relative to the needs that the devlopment creates; the reality is the cash ends up being swallowed up by the likes of " Diversity Directorates" and " Climate change policy units" and " Somalian...

All of which I find highly aggressive and hostile. And your comments are not bigoted and beligerent then digme2007 ? Your a hypocrit of the worst kind. Re: Social Housing

Whilst agreeing that Affordable Housing in London should be welcomed I do not think that 40 Social rented flats in one location is a good idea. Its recognised that this creates " Ghettos" and that a mix of tenure types as you advocated such as shared ownership should also be available.

Re: Social Housing

Okay - for starters why are we talking about social housing here? As far as I'm aware (and it would be very unusual if this were not the case) these are mixed developments, and I expect the majority of the homes will be private sales. Not according to the owners web site Hexagon acquires historical...

The accusation of " racism" is so easlily thrown out by people who just dont like what is being said it actually dilutes the reality of true abhorrent racism. I dont see any thing that Eagle has said being racist at all , rather hard fact and logical reality. Making apologist statements ab...

Was about to say the same as above.

The recent riots were complete acts of opportunist theft due to a complete dissrespect for other people and nothing to do with deprivation. They organised it through Blackberrys and boasted about it from their I.T. Not exactly hard up are they ?
