Re: Recommendations for Dentist
Thanks to all of you!
Seems I have a choice to make.
Do any of them include a hygenist type clean up as part of oa check up?

Re: 18 Longton Avenue
I wholeheartedly applaud a "new" build in the old style. But 7 flats?? In such a small space? One of my biggest bug bears with new builds is their lack of space, hard to see how this will be any different. Just had a quick look too, living room and kitchen rolled into one bed sit style, an...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
I am believe your fears are well founded Heritage Angle. The real reason for these reforms is to cut costs, this is why so many doctors are against it. The most obvious case locally being the proposed closure of the A&E department at Lewisham. Like I've said elsewhere David Cameron has gone from...

Recommendations for Dentist
Can anyone recommend a good NHS dentist in/near Sydenham.
My current dentist is pretty good but a little far.
What I like about my current dentist is that as well as a check up he gives my teeth a clean as a hygenist would at no extra charge.
Is there a dentist locally who does the same?

Re: Spate of Car Breakins on Kangley Bridge Road
Wow, did not know that. Still though you are open to the interpretation of what contitutes reasonable force? I am not advocating vigilanteism, but it just seems wrong that the criminals can operate in broad daylight with relative impuinity. I did pretty much as you said, the police did not seem to w...

Re: Spate of Car Breakins on Kangley Bridge Road
Slightly tangential I once saw a car being broken into. Didn't really know what to do, if I so much layed a finger on them I would be liable for assault, not sure shouting would have helped either as they seemed completely nonchalant about the whole thing. I called the police but needless to say the...

Ah good guess Annie, but if that was the case would they be at the same address for multiple days?

Re: Lewisham A&E closure threat: history repeated
@ Eagle The PPI schemes were a bad idea but these closures are down to Landsley's reforms. Plus the tories in general are sticking to PPI type schemes despite borrowing costs being at an all time low. Remember what David Cameron said, "no top down reform", then OK their will be reforms but...

Re: The Greyhound
I realise that its a bit late but having seen the finished flats I have to say they seem quite incongruous when considered as part of the high street, and down right ugly when considered on their own. I really hope that future projects will more in keeping with the high street. As for the whole affo...

Re: Kickboxing or other martial art
Just too add, Miguel's also offer Thai boxing classes, although I haven't tried them.
But Miguel's seems to have a fair amount of women train there, and is prolly the most laid back women friendly gym on the list.
Which is not to say that Scorpion's or KO are bad.

I know that both Scorpion's and KO offer women only classes although you are welcome to join the regular classes too.
Its just one of these things, try the different classes/clubs out and figure out what suits you best.

Great service and cheap as chips to boot.
Rear breaklight replacement: £3 fitted!
Service: £120 all in, (VW) wanted £250 to do the bear minimum, parts would be extra.

Re: Rail Franchise fiasco - let Lewisham manage!
Well he didn't get rid of her in time, because the screw up still occurred? Plus if she is liable for her civil servants (which she should be) isn't Cameron just as liable for her? Ah the omnishambles continues. All pails into significance next to the sad plight on the UK economy, we are now one of ...
