As Lee has posted elsewhere, the Mosaic project is looking for a further £3,000 this Saturday, but here's the full list of bidders to vote on

Totaling £21,352 with just £15,000 available.

It's not said how the voting will work, but my understanding is that there is going to be a change, and those attending will be asked to rank the nine bids from 9 to 1 - 9 being the one most liked, 1 least liked. The bids with the highest total scores will get funded in full down to the bid whose amount would bring the total allocated to more than the £15,000 available - and this bid gets part funded. All less popular bids get nothing. At least, this is how the bidding works in Perry Vale Ward.

I don't know either if there will be any restriction on who can vote, e.g. only people who live, work or study in the ward, which is the practice in Perry Vale, but previously has not applied in Sydenham. In the Sydenham Assembly charter is says simply "Voting will only be by those present at the Assembly meeting"

From Chris Best's Spring Newsletter, we learn that there were originally another eight bids which were ruled out by the co-ordinating group as "they did not meet the Assembly priorities or were very poor in content".

I'm interested to know also if anyone has received leaflets about this Assembly, and if so whether they were printed in colour. I ask because I found this in the minutes of the Sydenham Co-ordinators' Group meeting of January this year:

Councillor Best told the Coordinating Group that she was not happy about the leaflet being printed in black and white as we have been printing in colour from last January; the Coordinating Group agreed. Councillor Best then stated that she wants the door to door leaflet produced in colour as the devolved budget only started in August and there was no plan for the year. Consideration was given to using the underspend from Greening Sydenham or by a reimbursement following the expensive costs of the Naborhood Centre.
Paul told the Group that Sydenham is the only ward that has a coloured door to door leaflet, Cllr Best asked Paul to clarify this as she thinks that Crofton Park has colour in their Newsletters.
PG – I have liaised with the Crofton Park Coordinator and Crofton Park does not
have a coloured door to door leaflet, it is printed in black and white.
