Changes at the Roman Catholic church in Kirkdale

Fr Philip Seed, parish priest at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord for the last five years, has been moved to Broadstairs in Kent; he will be much missed. For the moment at any rate he is not being replaced as parish priest; the parish will be under the administration of Fr Peter Mansfield at the Church of Our Lady and St Philip Neri in lower Sydenham. There will however be a resident priest at the Church of the Resurrection, Fr Alfred Osamor, who will be responsible for services and pastoral care. Fr Alfred is from Nigeria; he is a member of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer and is studying at Heythrop College, University of London.

Fr Philip was a lovely parish priest and what a shame he was only with us for a few years. He really will be missed.
