Television repairs
Television repairs
Television decided that it had enough of the poor Christmas and New Year programmes and gave up the ghost on New Years Eve. It would be a shame to have to get rid of it without trying to have it repaired but don't know of anyone/where it can be fixed - ideas and suggestions welcome.
Re: Television repairs
You could try Comet on the Catford Trading estate on Bromley Road though I guess it won't be cheap as it wasn't when I enquired. A local one in Forest Hill stopped doing repairs as too much hassle to detect fault, find/source parts and no-one wanted to pay the sort of bill they'd be charged. There's one on Catford Hill who, about a year ago, wanted £70 just to look at one, repair cost on top and no real guarantee that it will stay fixed or that something else wouldn't go wrong.
You could try Googling your model number "+forum" to see if anyone has had a similar fault that they actually managed to get fixed. Good luck. Perhaps you could let us know if you do find anyone reasonably priced.
