Barty, if you get a chance, please thank Southern for opening the gate before the works are completed (and ask them to keep it open during station times!

Maybe I'm just being a Monday morning grump, but it baffles me every morning as to why they bother staffing this side gate as the guy just waves everyone through anyway! Including Oyster cards. I know it sounds like I'm moaning about nothing, but I'd just like some consistency - either he's there to check tickets or he isn't.
