Re: 5-a-side footie
Good news on the bigger pitch, count me for Wednesday (17th).
I'm aiming to make the curry but can't be 100% sure at present.

Re: 5-a-side footie
I make us 13 already; not couting the bossman Aidan but assuming Ryan is a definite. With Dickie's mate we'd be 15 so one more and it's a record turn-out of 16!?. Anyone would think there's a social engagement in the offing...

Er...."OK, balls out. I've booked the 7s as it was free." Think Greg's already covered it Aiden.
Re: 5-a-side footie
I have. I just couldn't bear another week of being sandwiched on the 5s. Apologies to Mr Ryan if you feel I'm doing your job for you - I booked it Thursday evening as it was free and it looked like we'd easily have enough people. Simple as that. I know you're the boss but it was a) on my account and b) it's really easy to downgrade to a 5s if needs be with no penalty charge.Joe Pineapples wrote:Er...."OK, balls out. Re: 5-a-side footie
A very big thankyou to Ulysses and others for the kind invite to Gurkhas (Sydenham Road), for the curry on the evening of November 24th (wednesday)
The evening is now penned in my diary. It was a lovely 'do' the last occasion i attended. Gurkha's is fantastic
Big thanks to everyone for the invite.

Re: 5-a-side footie
Quick Q: Who's in charge of next weeks [learning this apostrophe lark, 'Bram'!?] social engagement?
I'm up for it but do wonder who is dealing with booking and how much the kitty is (cover a drink, per chance?) plus timings etc...
How many are we? For a start.

I am! I suggest that we go to Gurkha's and that we sit down at 7:45pm. Hardier souls might like a quick beer in the Dolphin beforehand.Ulysses wrote:Quick Q: Who's in charge of next weeks [learning this apostrophe lark, 'Bram'!?] social engagement?

Confirmed so far:
- Ulysses

- AliB
- Trickster
- Sydders
- biscuitman1978
- chrelcombe (TBC)
- bazawaldo (TBC)
Any more?
I have no idea how much is in the kitty.
Re: 5-a-side footie
I somehow think we're more than that. No matter, we can sort tomorrow night.
As is my want, I've usurped you mate. I was walking past Gurkha's tonight after my Stained Glass Evening Class and popped in and booked ~14 of us in for 8PM next Wednesday...
As ever, apologies, Lem mate.
I'll post a show-and-tell ASAP or those remotely interested can check out my FB wall on the stained-glass front.
Not sure we're 14 but we'll see....

Re: 5-a-side footie
I'm not unfortunately.
Re: 5-a-side footie
Am I right in thinking that you need one more for even numbers tonight? I might be able to make it, as doesn't look like I'll be able to make hockey training tomorrow night. Please confirm if this would be a good thing.
Also, I'm keen for the curry, even though I a summer player.
