This Sunday, 23 October, we have an Open Day at the Dacres Road Nature Reserve from 11am to 3pm.
There will be guided tours of the Nature Reserve, a scavenger hunt for children and Steve Grindlay will be giving one of his excellent talks at noon and again at 2pm. This time, the talk will be on "Art and Arists in Forest Hill".

Good to have another chance to see round this wonderful local reserve - I suspect that it's where the toads who do at least some good work controlling slugs and snails in my garden breed. But best was Steve Grindlay presenting yet more results of his local history researches, on Sydenham artists. Those attending were asked to say if they'd be interested in joining a Friends of Dacres Wood Nature Reserve group - so look forward to more on this
