I was wondering if anyone has problems with the night club next to LA fitness?
They seem to turn out 5/5.30am on a sunday morning as I go off to work,There was a drunken woman on the floor being helped up by her boyfriend a couple of weeks ago, and this morning there were a young couple having an arguement at 3am outside my house.
Just thought about the poor residents who live closer than I do to it.
Annie
There has been a number of complaints about this club. Believe it is called Tanzania or Mozambique.
Posters have mentioned that most of the punters seem to come from The Elephant and Castle area.
If true one wonders why they cannot find a club closer.
I believe recommendation before was that they complain to their councilors and I suggest you do the same.
Sounds terrible and one longs for the time 50 plus years ago when it was an up market Cobb's coffee shop.
Thanks Eagle,
I only go back 35 yrs in SYdenham, It was such a lovely green, clean, tidy place then, good shops, and a real village feeling to it,I came from Herne Hill before here and to end up in Sydenham! I couldn't believe my luck!
Now I hurry through and keep my head down,The last time I walked the High street a man came up to me and inches from my face shouted NO! Why? I have no idea, but thats what bothers me is the uncertainty of whos who?
I don't plan on being here in my vulnerable years, thats for sure.
So sad Annie,
Unfortunately their are people on the streets who should not be that I believe the vast majority are OK.
I was on the top deck of a bus yesterday with about 6 other passengers when one started shouting abuse at the top of their voice. Must admit to being a little concerned , you never know if they have weapons , but fortunately it was OK.
Sydenham did seem so quiet back in the 50's and 60's , but may be partly because I was younger.
Getting back to the Angola or whatever it is so called nightclub , not sure why it is still open after all the complaints.
Yes I am surprised also Eagle,
If a petition was ever started I would sign it especially after seeing what I did on that sunday morning,
Sundays used to mean something, but even that has been changed,
It appears this was raised at the last Sydenham assembly meeting, on 8 September. Cllr Best said that a meeting was being arranged with the owners of the Namibia.
No one disturbed my sleep this week, and I didnt see any drunks laying on the floor like before, but loads of car traffic from 3am onwards, I don't actually live near the night club, But I am near enough to hear traffic leaving it and I can hear any stragglers that decide to argue on their way home.I also pass them on my way to work 5.30 am sundays.
