Hi Peeps,
Ok not 100% local, but was heading home tonight and couldn't fail to notice the partially burnt out double decker bus on Crystal Palace Parade. At about 9:15pm, a big tow truck was getting ready to cart the bus off.
Anyone know of the details of what happened? The whole back end was completely burnt out, looked like the engine had burst into flames. Hope nobody was injured?!

I was popping around my mates' place in CP in his car at around 7.45 and that's when the bus was burning (I think it had just started) - it started in the rear engine, so all the traffic backed up. Apart from the white van that decided to impatiently drive down the bus lane and get stuck - presumably the lane the fire engine had to come along later on. When we passed it the flames were licking up the back and there were quite a few people watching who had presumably been going to/from the funfair. The bus was empty however.
It caused us to miss the first ten minutes of the Arsenal game on TV.
