Yes please mate. Just ring the bell.parklife wrote:Ulysess - do you want a lift with FB4 and me ?
@Donny: Can you just confirm please gaffer that we're 12 on the 7s (two players light) rather than 12 on the 5s (two players too many)? My preference is very much for the former.
Re: 5-a-side footie
Donny - after your gentle chiding at my finishing last time I played I put football trainers only Xmas list - so no doubt I will score a hat trick every week. Plus I scored a cracker against bazwaldos son I'm the park the other day so I'm in form.

Re: 5-a-side footie
We'll see Colombus - last time someone boasted about a hatrick on this forum he hit a Torres streak...!
Ulysees we're on the 7's is my preference. £7 each and the kitty will have to support the short fall again, thats what its for.
N.B Not one volunteer to take over the reins - come on lads!

Re: 5-a-side footie
Donny, Will there be any money left over in reserve after the night out? Just thinking of those people who can't or don't want to make the night out, but who pay the guts of £400 a year to play football.
Re: 5-a-side footie
The words Tool and Massive spring to mind..
Re: 5-a-side footie
diamondmaker - is this a serious question? For the record - are you one of the ones who can't make it? or don't want to?Diamondmaker wrote:Donny, Will there be any money left over in reserve after the night out? If the numbers hold up over the next couple of weeks
and the kitty returns to a healthy sum
and someone decides to continue the "manager" role
then yes I'll hold as much back as was in there when I took over last year. Otherwise I'm blowing the lot on the night out.
N.B
The main aim of this forum thread was to organise a regular kick-a-bout in Sydenham, in this we have succeeded. Along the way (and I hope I don’t speak just for myself) I have met a decent bunch of lads who I would happily meet for a beer outside of the “cage”. Going back to previous threads everyone had the opportunity to comment on how I saw the next phase of football running – build up the kitty, buy kit where necessary, bolster short weeks and organise a night out. This is what we’ve done.
If anyone really has issue with this they can have their share (kitty divided by the number of people that have played in my tenure) and feck off and play somewhere else.....

Re: 5-a-side footie
thanks for the game last night, it was good to be back.
sadly the ankle wasn't really up to it so I'll probably give it another month and try again. so consider me out for future games until further notice.

Re: 5-a-side footie
That was a hot, long one. The game was pretty knackering too!
