Happy New Year Guys!
I would really like to return to action on Wed 12th as I've been missing the football but my wife is out so I have to try and secure a babysitter for 90 minutes! So a 'no' at present but I'm working on it!

For those who are deliberating over/can make the 12th I might be able to offer an extra inducement; I think!?
I've some of my home-made mincemeat left and will rustle up some shortcrust pastry to make us some not-so-seasonal mincepies. All the [myriad] ingredients are Waitrose and organic and are made with the sweat of mine own brow. Hopefully this will be welcomed more often than not.
So, if you're present on the 12th then expect some heavily-laced mincepies* prior to kick-off.
Gregella/Gregia/Gregel etc, etc, etc
*As it's made from fruit (which ferments) with sugar and brandy then mincemeat lasts at least a year...so you're safe eating it.

Re: 5-a-side footie
I'm in for the 12th, not that I am in any need of any more mince pies!

Alex - we're always happy to see new faces. We play at the Goals soccer centre on Copers Cope Lane on a Wednesday night at 8.30. We usually meet in the bar before hand and we are usually the largest group there so it should be easy to find us. When we play on the 5s pitch it's £6 a pop, if we get enough players to play on the 7s it's £7. Hope to see you there.

The bar is part of the Goals centre (turn left as you walk into the building, just past the reception desk).Powell wrote:Sounds good.

We try to meet in the bar by about 8:20pm.
See you on Wednesday.
