Sydenham Music Festival opening concert

Great concert tonight, and seemed to be a sell-out. Best version of the St Bartholomew Festival Orchestra I remember - superb wind section. Lyrical and really thoughtful account of the Brahms violin concerto with Sergey Dogadin. My only criticism is that I thought the last movement of the Jupiter symphony sounded a bit precarious - but I guess it must be a bugger to conduct.
