Hi Ali B et al.

I am going to have to pull out of tomorrow night's game I'm afriad as I twisted my ankle over at the weekend. Thought it might have improved but I've obvioulsy done some sort of damage to it as it has swollen and is painful to walk etc. Looks like you have plenty of people now though at least. Sorry for late notice! Hopefully will have recovered by next week.

Cheers Dickie

Will let you know next week.

can peeps get there for 7.50pm? I have to sort the money out ( each£6) before were are allowed to play. We should have enough people to cover costs this week

Free game to be announced soon, but we are entering the holiday month, so I'll wait for a decent amount of responses. It would be pointless to have 2 people turn up and spend the evening taking penalties

How jammy were we with the weather? we got the only 1 hour slot where it wasn't tipping it down.

I am still available to book Agust the 5th so would ask for availability for next week. Wednesday August 5th, 8pm kick off.

Good luck with the rail travel Biscuitman. Luckily most of the European redlight districts are really close to the station....

8 confirmed players are what i need to book for next week. (or 7 , because i'll be there). We'll dip into the accumulated funds if need be to do 'top ups' as necessary. I knew August would be a dodgy month with holidays for people.

However, it would be good to keep the momentum going.

I need another 7 (minimum) people for August 5th. And I need to know by the end of this weekend coming

My knee is hurting like hell, so i may not play next week IF we get enough people. If i don't get the numbers by Sunday then it won't go ahead. And i also noticed a few people dropped out at the last minute yesterday. I realise we all have lives outside 5-a-side, but if we get another 'no-show' evening, then the wheels will fall off for this season.

Which is a shame for a relatively young thread that is powering towards 20,000 views......

C'mon players, get posting your availability for next Wednesday.
I'm collecting the bibs off Biscuitman tonight, so these will be available for next week.

Well the usual Balham +4 will be there - so that should make 7 at least.

Martinc - don't worry, you can't be any worse than I am!

Would like to play again but can't next Wednesday as I'm out having curry and beers that night.

Martinc, please come along. if this is a firm commitment for next Wednesday, then I'll book it this weekend. We have room for atl least 2 others at the moment.
To give an indication of the level we play at:
1) We have a beer or two after the game
2) We don't play the head-height rule
3) fouls are never given- this is a mans game. Besides the worst injuries to date are ball-to-stomach and ball-to-groin.
4) We don't keep score

Thomas, don't try and make out you've got better things to do. I bet next Wednesday is another night in for you watching repeats of 'Heartbeat' with a 2 litre bottle of diet coke and a box of tissues. (ahem)

£6 a head. There is likely to be another shortfall this coming week, which I'll make up with funds in the kitty.(that's what it's there for).

I think Biscuitman left a message for me saying he was dropping off the bibs with Columbus. Perhaps Columbus can confirm this is the case (or not). Else can someone confirm whether they have the bibs
