saving my log in details???????????

hello
sorry if this is a question that has already been answered,

when i go to post a message i have to log in despite ticking the box to save/remember my log in details previously,am i doing something wrong or is there a problem??

This means the login fields are populated on the frontpage. If you don't click the login there then you will be asked to login later...

Works for me on several phpBB boards. You may have a cookie or browser issue. Trust it isn't the end of the world. And you do have a very short username ...

not the end of the world,but very tedious,i have to log in every time i post not just every time i visit the site.

Hiya, not sure if this will be of any use but if you use AOL if you type in the words SECUREFIX into the keyword box at the top of your aol tool bar then it might fix the cookie problem you seem to have.

Hi - I didn't twig you were with AOL. There are lots of issues with AOL - they do frig things - indeed some AOLers appear to have great difficulty registering here.

The authors who code this Forum software for pleasure (can you believe that?) are not the sort who like spending their time trying to fix things for the one ISP who wants to be different. And as its free it is hard to complain.

If it is tedious and you have problems elsewhere you should be able to migrate at no cost to another ISP. Lots are - AOL's membership is falling in a rising market. The bible on ADSL ISP's is here:

They have a helpful compare facility which does highlight significant differences is speed and service between them all. I use Zen & NewNet on the basis of their high ranking and I have not been disappointed - I did spend a couple of awful years with BTOpenwound. Chalk & cheese.
