I got an email telling me I got a pm but there is nothing in my inbox..... any ideas?

The system sends an email when someone sends you a PM. The PM stays in the sender's outbox until the receiver decides to receive it. Up to that point the sender may edit or delete the PM.

Perhaps someone was thinking of the date yesterday?

ok, something isn't right. I've just received 4 more emails saying "a new private message has arrived" but with no message in my inbox. 3 of them were around 5pm and one around 3pm...

I have already, despite my inherent preferences for non-trolling and virginal moniker recieved a few PMs from McLondres...perhaps this is he but you are the chosen one and he thinks better of it? Ergo he deletes his witticisms before you can read them?

Clearly you are not a...farmhand - which was the choicest of PMs he sent me.

Just to say that PM abuse is not acceptable. As its private I can't see it. If you think something is not acceptable please make it clear to the sender you wish to receive no more. If they refuse I will take action.

I noticed earlier that my inbox was 98% full....is this, perhaps, a cause of all these duff emails? I've now deleted all the messages in my inbox.

Thank you Admin but I've certainly been called worse! I'm not even sure if farmhand IS an insult.

So long as he/she doesn't escalate it like he/she has with maestro I'd say it's water of a duck's back.

Of course what consenting people wish to PM each other is not my business as long as it doesn't stray too far from the law. Like strictly no lambchop grooming

PS PM boxes don't ever fill up completely. When it reaches 100% the oldest message is lost to keep you in quota.
