Re: Flu-Jabs @ Sydenham Green now Covid test compatible
i easily booked my flu jab at Sydenham Green via the patient access website. I also easily booked a same day telephone GP appointment and was invited into a next day face to face appointment. Good service.

Re: The Drowning Place - Beckenham Place Park
I think the problems arise as the swimming pond was opened before it was properly finished and has coincided with a heatwave. At other swimming ponds in London you have to go through a gate and there are restrictions in who can swim. Maybe they should have had a separate paddling pool for toddlers ...

Let’s just not have any open water anywhere as it is dangerous. Parents are ultimately responsible for their children’s safety when swimming. Why is that a surprise?

Re: Penge Homebase closed - now Bunnings warehouse
I agree Bunnings always seems busy when I’ve been there and they must have spent a fortune on the rebranding. I guess the new owners won’t want to rebrand it yet again so it will have to go. Shame.

There are 2 ladies (sisters I think) they are in what used to be a computer place just past the new building. They have Shabs Beauty on a small notice in the window.

Eyebrow threading
The lovely ladies ( I think they’re sisters) who used to do eyebrow threading in the little hairdressers behind the bus stop next to Angies flower shop ( if you’ve been there you’ll know it! ) have moved up the road and are now working from an old computer shop just past the new development on the ...

Re: New houses proposed
Of course housing is more important than cars, but shoehorning people into ever more cramped spaces is not what people want either, if a developer is planning four bedroomed family houses it might be circumspect to factor in some parking space /outside space in the design if I you are interested in ...

These plans seem to be suddenly unavailable, any idea why? As I understand, no gardens or parking for these houses, more clogging up of adjacent streets.

The play equipment in local parks is pretty dismal compared with, say, Dulwich or Greenwich Park. So definitely an area of potential improvement,

Didn't he turn up to a Beer Festival in the constituency once?
Don't tell me he is standing again.
He won't get my vote.

Re: Two people killed in Lennard Road
I suppose those that blame the police assume that the thief would have driven completely safely and not exceeded the speed limit if it wasnt for the police. I am not convinced by that. In the chain of causation , the blame must lie with the lowlife that stole the car and decided ( unnecessarily) to ...

So the lovely people that stole the car, refused to stop for the police, and ploughed into innocent pedestrians are completely innocent of anything? It beggars belief.

Re: Two people killed in Lennard Road
I can't believe people are blaming the police. Surely the scumbags that stole the car and then decided it was a hoot not to stop for the police are to blame. I suppose the police will be criticised as racists next ( whatever the race of the driver). So sad.
