Re: Project Zanzibar–creating a venue that’s right for Syden
Didn't realise that Mr Brooks was a current rep for Sydenham and representing the interests of those of us living in Sydenham.

Re: Project Zanzibar–creating a venue that’s right for Syden
Perhaps you should remember how well this has been dealt with by our currnt representatives come Thursday. Seems that last night is a timely reminder of how our council can't or won't deal with this to the satisfaction of those affected.

Re: What's happened to the cycle parking in the High St?
As a pedestrian I really don't care about cyclist except when I have to avoid them as I walk down the pavement. Cyclists don't pay any taxes for using the roads and think they own the pavements as well. They should be taxed in the same way as motorists. Why should I as a council tax payer provide ...

Television repairs
Television decided that it had enough of the poor Christmas and New Year programmes and gave up the ghost on New Years Eve. It would be a shame to have to get rid of it without trying to have it repaired but don't know of anyone/where it can be fixed - ideas and suggestions welcome.

Re: Oyster PAYG discount for rail card holders
Don't bother going to Sydenham Station and ask them to include the discount on your Oyster because they can't/won't be able to do it. This came as no surprise as I have found the staff at Sydenham most unhelpful since London Overground has taken over running it, especiallty those who were not at the ...

Re: Fairlawn Park Stabbing
Global thinker thanks for the feedback from the meeting. It will be interesting to see if Hyde will actually look at this forum and perhaps they could log on in the same way British gas does to keep us informed of the roadworks. Were there many residents from Fairlawn Park at the meeting and did you ...

Re: Fairlawn Park Stabbing
How interesting yesterday I posted a negative comment about the yobs in Fairlawn Park and was met with the metaphorical raised eyebrows of hear we go again. And today it’s a different story, with not many people advocating hugging a hoodie, in fact more and more people are prepared to share their e ...

Re: Fairlawn Park Stabbing
Oh Dear I appear to have touched a nerve, for the record I wasn't accusing you of being a liberal or a Gaurdian reader my comments were more a reflection on how my own strong liberal views have become jaded as I become more dispairing of how bad things have become. Yes I didn't ask to be born but I ...

Re: Fairlawn Park Stabbing
The thread starts with a stabbing, and I know the youth who was stabbed, and ends with a link to an adoption site having passed through several posts on how we should feel responsible for these poor troubled kids. Well I am afraid that I do not feel that I should be held responsible for the ills of ...

Dentists In Sydenham
Can anyone recommend a good dentist, either private or NHS, in the Sydenham area. I have until recently used ADP but have become increasingly unhappy with the quality of the treatment I was getting.

The person we spoke to said that it would be helpful if residents were to report all incidents such as you describe to them ...
